I'd like to begin this update with a bit of news involving our moderators. Sentinels now have the ability to moderate in any forum. We felt that, with the size of the community constantly growing, as well as the size of our moderating team, it was just easier and more efficient to allow Sentinels to moderate anywhere they happen to see problems. However despite what you may think there is still a big difference in a Sentinel and a Guardian. Guardians have more powers than Sentinels (like banning people)
In addition to this, we also have two more moderators:
Haz4rd: He's been a devoted member of this community for a long time, and we're happy to welcome him to the moderating team.
tng night wolf: He's also been very loyal, probably more so than Haz4rd. He's also been around just as long as some of the founding members of the site.
Go leave these two some comments and congratulate them.
I'm also happy to announce the second Staff vs. Members competition! It's exactly what it sounds like: a chance for members of the community to battle the Staff of the site. If interested, head over to the Staff vs. Members thread and check it out!
Edit by imSuck:
I'd like to mention the addition of BlindingEclipse to the HaloGrid moderating team. She has been loyal to this community for about a year now and is pretty close friends with many of our members including the staff. Hard not to like Blinding, so I'm sure she will make a great addition to the team. Blinding has been back-seat moderating for some time now by keeping blackouTT updated on the ins and outs of HG, seems only fair that she gains the rank she has already earned.
Feel free to welcome her in this thread. :)
Edit #2: I've also promoted B W C to Sentinel based on his (much like everyone else) loyalty to this community, friendship and trust within the current staff members as well as his ability to greatly contribute help to a few big forums (Image Discussion among others). B W C was originally going to get promoted with tng and Haz, but was offline during that process. So without further ado, welcome our late bloomer B W C to the team!
